We are One Team | Formulators
Technology is deeply rooted in humanity. It is imagined by humans and built to serve humans. Formulation, therefore, is heavily dependent on its players who help co-create technology designed to transform lives. At Formulate AI the agents of formulation are called ‘Formulators’. Each formulator is a small albeit valuable cog in the grand machine of invention and innovation. The broad scope of formulation, especially in a growing field such as AI, allows each formulator to bring their own unique flair and ideas to the table. The mixture of ideals and methods is what allows formulation to be a highly collaborative and creative process.
The utility of formulators extends past being the human resource for codification and materialises as forces which bind together, despite varied backgrounds, to build something that is permeated with the values the company holds dear. The operational hierarchy does not matter for formulation as each formulator is the owner and manager of a very unique resource- innovative capacity.
The following are the principles which guide formulators:
- Clarity
- Unique Perspective
- Be Yourself (Being True to your ideals and values)
- Curiosity and Desire to learn
- Collaboration and Capacity to work in a team
- Result Orientedness and Dedication
- Bias toward Formulation
Just as nucleotides encode DNA, the formulator holds certain ideals dear when engaged in formulation of products and services. The primary guide of a formulator is a search for clarity of means and ends. This clarity is what allows one to see past the haze of market conditions and operational quibbles and visualise a revolutionary product or service. A formulator must trust the process of formulation and try to follow through with its discrete steps. As the most important step of formulation is the development of unique solutions based on research and thinking, it is pertinent for a formulator to be unique. A formulator must strive to find a unique voice and point of view and utilise it to shape products and services. The derivation of uniqueness is a complex process but can be aided if formulators remain true to themselves and their ideals. Unique ideas can also be motivated when formulators remain curious, not just about their field of operation but about the world in general. They must strive to seek knowledge from varied fields and experiences.
Formulation is rarely a solitary activity, it is a vibrant means of collaboration and assimilation of ideas. But for this collaboration to be fruitful, each formulator must be open minded and accepting of other opinions. This collaboration also hinges on good communication and willingness to learn from each other.
The final step of formulation of any product is always perfecting the end product. For a formulator to make valuable contributions they must focus on this end product and strive to produce a satisfactory result. This result-orientedness also motivates formulators to find the best possible modes of building something.
“Passion is the genesis of Genius”- Galileo Galilei.
The Ideal that rises above all else is the desire to build a product that can transform lives and the way the world operates. Aided by their collaborators and fueled by a passion for innovation, formulators can wield the power of formulators for great innovation.
